You love cooking but sometimes, as human, you tend to have little hitches in the kitchen or you tend to make a great kitchen mistake. Not to worry, I'm here for you. These kitchen hacks will sure put a smile on your face and amaze the shit out of you. *winks*
P.S: I included links from Youtube for some of the hacks for your viewing pleasures and to help you understand it properly.

1. You want to have a golden egg?
Shake your egg vigorously for 2-3 minutes, then boil. You sure will have a golden egg afterwards.
2. Mistakenly added too much salt to your food?
Just drop one peeled potato or yam. They can help absorb the excess salt in your food.
3. You burned a pot of rice?
Place a slice of white
bread on top of the rice for 5-10 minutes to draw out the burned
flavour. Don't forget that you should be careful while serving the rice to avoid scraping the burned part at the bottom of the pan or pot.
4. To clean up cook-wares:
Avoid using detergents, scrub instead with salt and clean up with a paper towel.
5. Never wrestle egg shell piece again:
Scoop up bits of broken eggshell from a batter or bowl of cracked
eggs ready from scrambling with an already-cracked egg. Gently ladle out
the piece of shell with half of an eggshell. The shell acts as a magnet to draw up shell pieces without wasting too much egg.
6. Peel garlic bulbs the easy way:
Remove all cloves from the bulb, then whack each clove with the side of a chef’s knife. The skin will fall right off.
7. Peel a potato skin without a peeler:
Time to ditch the peeler again! Peel a potato
in a snap by boiling it and then giving it an ice bath. The skin will
separate from the potato center and you can pick it right off.
8. Storing empty airtight containers:
When storing empty airtight containers, throw in a pinch of salt to avoid having that damp smell
9. Did you accidentally burn your stew while making it?
When making gravy (stews) and accidentally burn it, turn your mixture it into a fresh pan and continue.
Add a pinch of sugar, doing that takes out the burnt taste.
P.S Be cautious of the quantity of sugar you add tho.
10. Keep seeds from falling into citrus juice
Wrap citrus fruits in cheesecloth (or a clean stocking) for seed-free juice.
11. You aren't sure how fresh your egg are?
Place them in about four inches of water; eggs that stay on the bottom are fresh. If only one end tips up, the egg
is less fresh and should be used soon. If it floats, it’s past the
fresh stage
12. Tired of ants in your kitchen?
Find out where they come in from and cover the hole with petroleum jelly(Vaseline). Ants won’t trek through the jelly. If they are coming under a door, draw
a line on the floor with chalk. The little bugs also won’t cross a line
of chalk.
13. You want to have a heart shaped egg?
Use a chopstick and rubber band to get your desired shape just like below
14. Prevent onions from making you weep
To stop onion-induced tears,
freeze the onion before chopping. (P.S: This trick only works if
you’re planning to cook the onions later—otherwise, after the onion
thaws out, the raw pieces will be a bit soggy!) Or if you want to look
absolutely crazy when your housemate walks in, put a slice of bread in your mouth (partially sticking out) to absorb the irritant gas before it reaches the eyes.
15. When defrosting meat from the freezer:
Pour some vinegar over it. Not only does it tenderize the meat; it will also bring down the freezing temperature of the meat and cause it to thaw quicker.
16. Too much fat or greese in your stew?
Drop in few ice cubes. The ice attracts the fat, which you can then scoop out. This works wonders.
17. To reuse old or used cooking oil without tasting whatever was cooked in the oil
previously:
While heating the oil, drop a small piece of fresh ginger. It absorbs any flavors and odor.
18. Keep birthday cake fresh for days
Dug into a cake and didn’t finish the whole thing? Save it from drying out by securing a slice of bread to the exposed portions with toothpicks. The bread holds in the cake’s moisture
19. You got two drinking glasses stuck together after stacking?
It’s not impossible to separate them. Just put ice in the inner glass and dunk the outer glass in warm water.
The warm glass will expand and the cold glass will contract, making the
glasses separate easily.
